Catching moments like this is just sheer luck. Capturing the right moment is every photographer's dream and to be able to portray that on the finished photo is just rewarding. Here's the perfect photo of the father's joy celebrating his son's birthday.

Working Hands: Brush Strokes
Creating patterns for dresses can be complex at times. Patterns have to be duplicated for use accross the factory. In my project "Working Hands" I came accross one process where the pattern has to be replicated using the pattern wheel and a brush to mark the paper. Here is a photo of the hand with some Brush Strokes.

Upuang May Gulong
A man's house is his castle, someone said. I totally agree. My wife and have been decorating and fixing our small castle for amost a year now. With the furnishings at the veranda finished, I took some shots of our "Bahay Kubo" (nipa hut) with its swing. Here's something nostalgic....(and my second entry to the company photo contest).
Ferrari Diorama
It's been about a month and a half since my last entry, been busy with our new business back home and some changes at our workplace. Anyway, most things are in order now and my posts are back.
Our company photography club regularly sponsors a contest among its members. This month I have 2 entries I sent. Just to share...here's the Ferrari Diorama.

NXP Winning Team
Last Friday I had a chance of taking pictures of one of the teams who won a manufacturing excellence award in our company. Our photo shoot took place in and out of the factory. With the afternoon sun shining, we spent 30 precious minutes planning and posing for the company's magazine where their photo will be published. Here's the souvenir photo I gave them today to remind them of their efforts and winnings.

Waiting for my Prince
Seldom do you get a chance to have a college reunion party and a model shoot all rolled into one. A month ago our college friends were at home for a reunion party. Most brought their kids along. When I saw Syd, I was particularly amazed at her Filipina beauty and the fact that she is photogenic. Before we said good-bye, I got a chance to shoot some photos of her at the garden with a gown we provided. Amazingly the gown fitted as if it was made for her. Here is her picture by the garden. I bounced one flash to the white garden wall and had all garden lights open.

Innocence
Last week, my wife and I attended a funeral. With all the emotion, grief and sadness, most of the children were unawares. Other than providing photo documentation of the event, I got some time to shoot children. I'm attaching one photo of my unofficial grandson who, inspite of the grief surrounding his parents, he gave his sweetest smile making others around him relieved with his innocence.

Last Installment...
More Pictures of my Nephew and Nieces
My first blog is an experiment : )....having "learned" the art of blogging am now more confident posting. More pictures of my nieces and only nephew for this batch. Taking these shots I had my nieces and nephew position themselves by the wall of their home. The sun was just right creating a good soft light being bounced from the main house's walls. All shots were taken with a Canon 450D with 17-85mm IS USM Canon lens. The images did some post processing with CS3. I did some experimenting with the blur function of CS thus the images came with this "dreamy" touch. Hope you like them.
